We welcome you to join us at Miramar beach in Half Moon Bay, California!
The ceremony will be outdoors by the Pacific; please dress with Bay Area weather and cool ocean breezes in mind (layers are encouraged).

where a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres awaits!

transportation
Both hotels (and several other local options) are within walking distance of the venue,
and we will be providing shuttle service on Friday and Sunday to/from SFO airport.
If you would like to bring a car, parking is available in the lot behind the reception venue
(311 Mirada Rd, please search for "Douglas Beach House" when navigating).
The ceremony site is a very short walk down the street from the parking area.
Our Story
On August 6th, 2010, Emma noticed Ben dancing very cutely at the Ottobar in Baltimore.
Emma's family was preparing for an event just one month later, giving Ben a chance to make a great first impression... he helped prepare the ancestral home in Hampton, VA and well exceeded the manual labor bar early on! She remembers how sweetly he played with the young guests at the party, realizing then and there what a kind and amazing parent he would be.
After that there was so much in common. Between their common interest in making things, shared bike friendly lifestyle, and similar taste in quirky Baltimore music, there was love to be had. Both nurtured each other through their individual trials as they grew together.
Fast forward to the spring of 2014. Emma & Ben embarked on an epic journey across the world, traveling as far as Sri Lanka, where Emma met the extended Sinhalese branch of Ben's family for the first time. Ben proposed overlooking a scenic ocean vista in Galle (shown in the background below) and Emma said "heck yes!"
The end of that journey was the beginning of another in San Francisco, where this happy couple settled with their cat, Lucy. And that brings us to the present where you are welcomed to join the celebration!
